(#26) This Blog Sucks
There are at least a hundred other things I’d rather be doing in this moment. I don’t want to write. Not right now. I’m not in the mood. I have countless thoughts in my head but nothing that feels particularly pure or expertly distilled…nothing I find ‘worthy’ of typing up.
Nonetheless, I am here.
Not every piece of writing can be a winner. It doesn’t need to be.
To make good work, you need to make a lot of work. Consider that finding your good ideas probably requires you to wade through the rest: the unremarkable, the rubbish, the embarrassing, the unimpressive, the downright awful.
Consider that a single instance of your work might not hit the mark while the collection of your work might speak volumes.
Failure of your ideas is not an option. It’s an obligation. It’s the haystack through which you find the needle.
How will you convince those in your care to make the most of their capacity to do the work that builds towards their best?
